Adjustments & Manipulation

Chiropractors are professionals who specialize in the treatment and diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders. Most often patients visit Chiropractors for neck and back pain however Chiropractors treat an array of different symptoms related to the malfunction of the musculoskeletal system. The main belief that drives Chiropractic is the connection between the spine and the central nervous system.

Chiropractors rely upon and assist the body’s ability to heal itself by reducing or eliminating misalignments of the spine using their hands or instruments to apply gentle force to a joint in the spine, moving the joint in a specific direction with the goal of reducing or eliminating symptoms or pain and improving the overall function of the body.

How Does Spinal Manipulation Work?

There are well over 100 types of adjustment techniques used by chiropractors throughout the world. Some practitioners may use force and twisting, while other techniques are more gentle. Regardless of how they are performed, these techniques are intended to restore or enhance joint function with the objectives of reducing pain and resolving joint inflammation.

When vertebrae shift out of place, there is an overall systemic response from the muscular system to the central nervous system. Without proper alignment and flow, our nerves, our immune system, and our minds cannot function at their highest peak.
